First y25

The y25 was a College Football poll established in 2003. In the past 5 years the y25 has prided itself on being different than the other polls on terms of team ranking and picks its own National Championship(albeit only in 2004 with Utah and 2006 with Boise State has this occured). In the preseason, the defending National Champion(unless it is a mid-major, for example, USC started '05 No.1 instead of Utah, and in '06, Florida began at No.1 instead of Boise State). In 2007 the final Top 5 was

1.LSU
2.West Virginia
3.USC
4.Georgia
5.Kansas

This season all 5 will start in the Top 5(with LSU as Number 1) and the rest will be determined by average ranking in the AP and ESPN Top 25 Poll. With Number 6-25, the teams outside of the Top 5 are ranked by their ranking in the AP and ESPN preseason Top 25. Each polls are released on Sunday morning(barring a Sunday or Monday game) and are quite different than both polls. Here is the first y25.
